We love students and we want to help every student in Lincoln grow in faith, build friendships and have a lot of fun! St. Swithin’s is a home where students can be supported and built up to become everything God wants them to be. Come and be part of this vibrant community, join in with events, Life Groups, serve on a team and get stuck in as you become part of our growing family.
Whatever university you are from, come and get involved during freshers weeks in 2018.
If you would like to know more, find ways of getting connected or just fancy meeting up for a coffee then we’d love to hear from you.
Our services are great for finding new friends and building community, as well as finding a team to serve on. We have something for everyone!
The 10:30 is for all ages, join us at 10:15 for coffee and croissants – we’d love to meet you and help you connect in.
The Seven is our evening service pitched at students and young adults but is open to anyone looking for a more relaxed feel with more space for worship and ministry. Doors open at 18:45 and the service finishes around 20:15 with social time and mini-events afterwards.
Life groups are the places where real life happens. Our small groups meet across the city, normally revolve around food, and provide a space where you can just be yourself. Here is where you get to do life, worship, pray, study the bible and encounter God together.
Over summer you can plug into our Student Summer Life Group, or Forge to keep yourself involved in the life of the church and to make some friends. There are also life courses running throughout the year if you fancy trying something a little different.
We have loads of great events coming up throughout the year to help you and your mates connect in with St Swithin’s community and to explore life and faith. Upcoming events include an EPIC party in the Cathedral in freshers week, a Christmas ball, our weekend away, lunches, movie nights… we’ve got so much going on! Keep your eyes peeled on social media and your emails to see what’s happening!
As you will soon discover, a lot of our student work involves food! This is because it helps form great community and is an easy way to connect in with others throughout the year. Student lunches happen throughout the term after the 10:30. Details of upcoming dates are published through social media, or look out for the student team wandering round with a clipboard and get yourself signed up!
